An applied innovation initiative of the Dr. Disruptor Network
F.I.S.H.
Access Lab™
Applied AI testing where accessibility, neurodivergence, education, and real-world implementation meet.
Removing barriers. Revealing potential.
01 / The lab
What F.I.S.H. Access Lab is
A place to learn what technology actually does when it leaves the controlled demo.
F.I.S.H. — the Flexible Inclusive Support Hub — is an applied testing, research, and implementation environment. We work with emerging technology companies to examine how advanced AI meets real users, accessibility barriers, organizations, and meaningful work. We are not building a competing AI model; we study how promising tools function in practice.
02 / The premise
Why real-world testing matters
Context changes everything
Interruptions, unclear instructions, competing priorities, and different access needs shape what a tool can really support.
Friction is useful evidence
We map where people lose momentum, confidence, control, or clarity — and what might improve the experience.
The human stays central
Evaluation considers agency, privacy, comprehension, and the practical conditions for responsible use.
03 / Focus areas
What we test
04 / Collaboration
Who we work with
We collaborate with teams building emerging tools, especially those ready to ask better questions about use beyond the product environment.
05 / How we work
The F.I.S.H. collaboration model
Early access
Explore potential use cases and early product access.
Applied testing
Run structured, real-world task scenarios.
Research & case study
Document observations and develop a case study where appropriate.
Strategic innovation
Shape ongoing pilots and applied innovation questions.
06 / Selected work & demonstrations
Ideas taking shape
07 / Inquiry
Research & education
F.I.S.H. explores applied scenarios and potential research questions. Formal research activity would follow the appropriate institutional processes where required.
08 / Our approach
Privacy & responsible AI
We favor data minimization, explicit boundaries, human oversight, and careful handling of sensitive information. Demonstrations or case studies should be shared only when appropriate and agreed upon.
An invitation
Bring a real question. We'll help examine it in the real world.
If your team is exploring a pilot, early access, or applied research collaboration, start a conversation with the lab.
